Dr Toro Ogundoyin
Dr Toro Ogundoyin is an aesthetic doctor and the founder of Dr. Toro Aesthetics, a doctor-led clinic at UNTIL Marylebone and the Kailash Centre in St John’s Wood. Fifteen years and more than 75,000 procedures in, she is still known for the same thing: results that look like you on a good day, and an honest answer when a treatment is not the one you need.
Meet Dr Toro
Dr Toro Ogundoyin holds an MBBS from St George’s University in London and the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare. She has spent over 15 years in medical aesthetics across Australia and the UK, and has carried out more than 75,000 procedures in that time.
Before returning to London she led one of Melbourne’s established clinics. She now practises from two London clinics and teaches other medical professionals the techniques she uses, which is a different discipline from performing them: you have to be able to explain exactly why a needle goes where it goes.
She is registered with the General Medical Council and with the Care Quality Commission. Most non-surgical clinics in the UK are not required to hold CQC registration at all, so it is worth knowing which ones do.
Founder story
Dr Toro opened her first clinic over ten years ago, and the reason was frustration. Too many overdone faces, too many quick-fix promises, and an industry that rewarded selling treatments rather than declining them.
Patients call her Dr. No. It started as a joke and she has kept it, because it describes the thing she is most willing to do: say that a treatment will not give you what you are hoping for, or that the one you have asked for is not the one that would help. She would rather you spent your money well, or kept it.
The goal she works towards is a face where makeup becomes optional rather than necessary, and skin healthy enough that you spend less time in front of the mirror. Quality over quantity, and the fewest treatments that will actually do the job.
Why patients choose a doctor-led clinic
Every consultation and every treatment at Dr. Toro Aesthetics is carried out by Dr Toro herself. You are not assessed by one person and treated by another, and the person who plans your face is the person who has to live with how it turns out.
Her focus is natural-looking results that work with your features rather than against them. Social media sets a standard that most faces cannot meet without looking like they have been treated, and she will advise against a trend that does not serve you. Symmetry, proportion and the way your face actually moves are what the plan is built on.
Skin health sits alongside the injectables. She formulates prescription skincare for each patient rather than selling the same three products to everyone, on the basis that treatments hold better on skin that is in good condition.
Your consultation and journey
Every new patient starts with a consultation, from £90. It is a proper medical appointment: a full history, a look at the areas that bother you, and an honest view of what each option would and would not do, including the risks and the realistic outcome.
You leave with a written plan setting out which treatments belong in it, in what order, and what each one costs, so you can weigh it up rather than decide on the spot. Nothing is booked under pressure, and questions are expected rather than tolerated.
After treatment you get written aftercare and a way to reach the clinic if something is worrying you. Anti-wrinkle treatment is reviewed at two weeks, once the effect has fully settled, and the first review after any new treatment is where anything that needs adjusting gets adjusted.
Safety, standards and registration
Dr Toro is on the GMC register, which you can check yourself, and the clinic is registered with the Care Quality Commission. She practises under the GMC’s standards for prescribing and for good medical practice, and every product used is regulated and sourced through UK pharmacies and suppliers.
Anti-wrinkle treatment uses a prescription-only medicine. UK rules require a face-to-face consultation and a prescription before it can be provided, so a first visit is a consultation rather than a treatment slot. Treatment is for adults only.
Consent is taken properly: benefits, common side effects, the rarer ones, and the alternatives, explained in plain terms before anything is agreed. Dermal fillers used here are hyaluronic acid based, which means they can be dissolved if a result is not right or if a complication needs reversing, and there is a clear plan for managing one.
